As we all know that a few days earlier WhatsApp added a new feature called WhatsApp status and allowed us to upload picture,video and GIF also this vanishes in 24 hrs.But WhatsApp have to face high criticism because WhatsApp removed text based status.
Now WhatsApp is again planning to add text based status and this time WhatsApp is calling this feature about.Yes, You can once again set a text-only update in your profile.
Currently this feature is only available for beta tester.When you upgrade the app, it automatically adds your previous Status which you kept before updating your app. You will be able to see the old default options of ‘Available’, ‘Busy’, ‘At school’, ‘At the movies’, etc., and more importantly the status does not disappear after 24 hours.
There is no other information as to when will the official roll out of this feature begin. However, since this feature is available in Android beta version, it is expected to be rolled out to the other interfaces in the near future as well.
You can also use this feature before this roll out for all.To do so you have to become a WhatsApp beta tester.To become WhatsApp beta tester open play store and search for WhatsApp messenger scroll down, you will see a option become a beta tester check Yes,i am in .This will take few minutes and you will become a beta tester.Update your app to latest version and your previous status will be restored.
